The right eating is not fundamental only for your baby. Its conception might be influenced by parent´s previous nutritional status. Apart from controlling mum´s and baby´s weight, it is important to know what foods you should and shouldn´t eat in this period, which ones are key nutrients for the right development and how to prepare, cook and storage foods.

At the same time planning the breastfeeding is not less important, make sure the baby gets the most complete nutrition during this phase as well as in the baby led weaning.

Nutrition in children

We understand for parents the most important thing is their child’s health. However we also know it is not an easy task, especially when we are everyday bombarded with way too much publicity about ultra processed foods and controversy about what´s good or not. Understanding your confusion, as professionals in nutrition and dietetics we are here to help. We design plans according to the age range, making sure there is a correct quantity and quality of nutrients, considering present pathologies, allergies, intolerances or eating preferences like vegetarian or vegan. I will also give you ideas and recipes your kids will love and will guarantee a right and healthy development.

Nutrition for vegetarians and vegans

Vegetarian diets are those which exclude consumption of meat, fish and in some cases eggs, but they keep consuming dairy, unlike vegan diets which are 100% free from animal products, including honey. These diets are very healthy and totally complete if they are well planned. If this is your lifestyle but you are unsure if you are doing it right, asking to a nutritionist will help you to refine your menus, making sure there is a correct intake of every nutrient, giving ideas to make your dishes more appealing and diverse without need to use bad substitutes or processed foods.

Nutrition in allergies and intolerances

Making sure your diet in good and healthy when you suffer from an allergy or intolerance such as lactose, casein, gluten and others can be very challenging at the beginning, but not an impossible mission. In these situations it is very important to ask to a nutritionist for guidelines, and to show you the best alternatives in the market to those foods. I want to help you to have the best diet and make it as easy as possible, with all the nutrients and so good menu ideas you won´t miss any of the foods you can´t eat, and you will feel better than ever.

Nutrition in Eating Disorders

Health issues like anorexia, bulimia, vigorexia or orthorexia might be life threatening situations which need a multidisciplinary approach to be addressed. For that I work in collaboration with psychologists with the aim to help you to come out from this. If you consider yourself, or someone close to you, has a conflict with food, is afraid of eating outside the comfort zone, relies on food when emotions like sadness, anxiety are present, there is excessive exercise, use of laxatives or another purgative behaviours… It is the time to look for help. Just believe it is a temporal situation which doesn´t last forever. You are not alone.
