I´m Arancha Arias, another Dietitian and Nutritionist qualified by University of Granada (Spain) and registered by CODINAN (Nº AND-702).
I would be a liar if I say I began my story because I was passionate about nutrition since the beginning. Actually I wanted to do a career in Medicine, however the consequence of not getting enough score alongside a common uncertainty 18 years old young people have about their future was my shuttle to a career in Nutrition, been one of the best decisions in my entire life. It is true I always had some interest about what are the benefits for eating certain foods and why. However, after 3 long years of studying at Uni you end up mostly as confused and lost as you started.
My real passion about Nutrition it came up after that, the more experience and knowledge I was earning, the more in love I was falling about it. Also my curiosity about plants and their use as natural remedies in alternative therapies made me study a Masters Degree in Homeopathy and Medicinal Plants by UNED, and years after a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy (also well known as Naturopathic Nutrition) by The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. Two of my biggest interest linked in one, making the most of my career, with full dedication, integrity and wiliness to keep learning and upgrading my knowledge.
These past years of study, personal and professional experience in clients and patients helped me to truly believe in what I do and what Nutrition means. This is my philosophy. There is nothing as real as how much power food has on our health and wellbeing.
Eating is a habit we do every day between three up to six times a day. What is the point on investing money in cosmetics, aesthetic or in the best medical insurance if you do not care about your body from the inside, from the basics and the root? Nutrition is not just a matter of weight loss and a summer beach body. It is not either a trend for green juices, superfoods and sugar free foods. It is a matter of nourishment. Been conscious and thinking carefully about what you put on your plate it´s a lifestyle that guaranties health. If you don´t invest now on your food, you´ll have to do it in medication.

Fortunately I have another hidden passion which I could integrate into my job. This is sports. I have been trained and worked and a group fitness instructor, and since the first day I walked into a gym this became an obligation and a daily routine for me. Reason why nowadays I´m studying to become a Certified Sports Nutritionist by Nutriscience, to make sure I provide the best nutrition plan for performance without compromising my client´s health and even my own. I´ve tried everything, starting with Body Pump and Body Combat (which I was teaching), running, obstacle races, weights, functional training, boxing, Muay Thai, Yoga….until I meet and stay with Crossfit.
As a Nutritionist my responsibility is promoting health and not just about your eating habits. In my consultations I always encourage physical activity as well as emotional health. My sessions include guidelines about nutritional education which will help you become adhered to your plan and learn from it. I also do coaching activities in which we will work on goals and obstacles based on everyone are different and unique and wellness includes physical and mental health.
I hope to help you to understand nutrition in a whole new perspective, or at least to you find in this website the inspiration and motivation to start your journey into a new life full of vitality, health and energy.
